Lawyer hired by Sunanda Pushkar in Dubai, may file damagesWe all are well aware with the ownership controversy surrounding the Kochi IPL franchise and recently, the woman at the centre of this controversy, Sunanda Pushkar, might take the decision to file for damages, as she has appointed a Dubai-based lawyer for the purpose.

As per the reports, Shashi Tharoor, who is Minister of State for External Affairs and close friend of Pushkar, helped her to get free equity worth 70 crore rupees in the Kochi IPL franchisee.

However, Ashish Mehta, the lawyer specified that Pushkar has asked for his legal assistance.

He specified via the statement that this has spoiled the image of his client and they will seriously consider filing for damages.

Mehta feels that his client has been misunderstood by the media and the facts needed to be put straight. He described the information of Pushkar being a beautician, spa owner or a socialite as false.

Sources claim that Ms Pushkar made her fortune as an executive of a state-owned company in Dubai, has 20 years of hard work experience and has never been in the spa business.
