Thursday saw the initiation of the United Arab Emirates-Jordanian Business Forum that aimed at enhancing experience exchange and increasing investments and trade between the two countries.

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) hosted the forum, in collaboration with the Jordanian Business Council in Dubai and the northern emirates. The forum basically aims at providing opportunity to the business people from Jordan and the UAE to discuss investment opportunities in both countries.

The SCCI and Aqaba Chamber of Commerce also signed an agreement on the sidelines of the forum to facilitate investment procedures.

Signed by SCCI Board Chairman Ahmed Al Madfah and Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael Kabariti, the agreement will enable the two sides to exchange information on the investment environment in Sharjah and Aqaba, so that economic and investment cooperation between them could be taken to a higher level.

Apart from this, assistance and information to business and official delegations from both sides would also be provided by the two chambers.
