UAE students facing tough situation

UAE-StudentsUAE students, enrolled in various universities and other educational institutions, remained fail to perform well which is a cause of great concern. Lamenting over their poor performance, Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Educational Council (ADEC) revealed a stunning story of student's performance.

Al Khaili informed that just 3 per cent of government school students enrolled in various universities out of which 30 per cent resumed studies after an additional foundation year while 20 per cent dropped out after struggle.

He asked for the need to pay special focus on teacher's qualification, academic infrastructure, buildings and curriculum for getting the education sector out of trouble and poor performance of the students. ADEC would soon initiate measures for mitigating shortcomings of the system for providing quality education in the country.

Al Khaili said, "The 2020-2030 plans are to move the country from being heavily dependent on petroleum and related material to one that depends on education."
