An agreement to be the event's "host sponsor" has been signed by the Qatar Expo, the organizer of the Third International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show (IWED 2010) with W Doha Hotel & Residences.
From May 4-7 onwards, the Qatar's only major wedding event for the regional wedding industry will be held with the participation of more than 150 exhibitors from 24 countries.
Qatar Expo CEO Karim Zarka explained that the IWED 2010 exhibition would show fabulous wedding designs and fashion shows from Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Even the IWED's launch of the region's first international young designer award was announced by Zarka.
Qatari businesswoman, entrepreneur and president of the IWED International Young Designers award 2011 Committee Mona al-Sulaiti, explained that the award was intended at encouraging student designers to focus their mind and creativity on the glamorous world of wedding fashion.
A judging panel featuring top names from the Middle East and Asian fashion industry would support the award, she pointed.
Zarka told that the World Fashion Show Channel would broadcast live the IWED 2010 exhibition.
Is should be noted that other printed media sponsors from Qatar and the GCC countries would be providing coverage for the event.
Dantella Design, Rainbow Printing Press, Royal Vogue, Chocolateno, Rahbar Trading, Assma Al Adawi, Baite Zinat Lil Abaya, Kakao, Photo Art and Tal El Amar (Qatar), Prouna (Korea), Azalea, Bint Al Khaleej Perfumes, Carnation Events, Huda Style, Le Majestic, Noor Collection and Romary (UAE) and Saouli (Morocco) are the leading companies participating at IWED 2010.
