Tiger Woods returns to U.S. Masters in Augusta National

Tiger-WoodsEven as the TV executives and host of sponsors are keeping away from the famed golf player, Tiger Woods, he has decided to return to the April 8-11 U. S. Masters at genteel Augusta National.

Woods was under immense media frenzy for his early-morning car crash outside his Florida home on Nov. 27 and his clean image was destroyed with allegations of extra-marital affairs.

Ina public appearance last he apologized to family and Fans for his repeated infidelities. He also said that he is undergoing treatment. Woods was the star attraction for the tournament and he increases TV ratings for about 50 percent. He needs to reconstruct his public image in order to get back that kind of reception.

He is often called the best golfer of his generations and even the for all time. He has won 14 major champions. The fans are likely to give him a good reception even as some of the TV shows have been criticizing him in recent weeks.

Some are expecting the player to have new fans as his life has been publicly exposed. Before the exposure he was viewed as a great player but the one who never attracted too much attention.

Feloow players have said that it's a good sign that he is opening up. "Now, maybe a lot of people think if you open him up, you see a beating human heart. We all have our short comings," said Stewart Cink.

The biggest challenge for the player is how he will be able to balance his emotions and display a good performance in the tournament.
