On Saturday, the vice Foreign Minister Panich Vikitsreth insisted that the United Arab Emirates informed former prime minister Thaksin Shinawtra to depart the kingdom.

Panich told he had notified by hing-level UAE officials that Thaksin was told to depart UAE since he had been utilizing the country as a staging point for his political moves in defiance with his agreement with the UAE government.

Panich explained that it was not assured where Thaksin was heading to after leaving UAE.
