Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has invited UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend the 22nd Arab Summit conference which is scheduled to be held in Libya on March 27.
A latter in this regard has been received by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan from Gaddafi's special envoy Ahmad Qaddaf Al Dam.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan with Shaikh Mohammad extended warm welcome to the guest and hailed the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa. He said that the UAE is keen to build strong ties with Libya for mutually co-operating across all sectors. Shaikh Mohammad hoped that the country will successfully conclude the summit being held in Sert.
Al Dam too hailed the leadership of the President and conveyed the best wishes of Colonel Gaddafi. He hoped that UAE would continue to help the nation in the wake of various challenges in the current environment.
Al Dam, in a meeting with a number of UAE officials, asked for the need to form a joint cooperation cell between two nations. The leaders also discussed a number of national and international issues.
