Google for resolving all issues with China

Eric-SchmidtGoogle Chief Executive, Eric Schmidt is optimistic of some positive outcome of its ongoing talks with Chinese authorities regarding firm's future in the country. Mr. Schmidt, while speaking at a conference, confirmed active negotiations with the China over censorship issue.

Eric Schmidt declined to divulge further details and said that the exercise is not time bound by either side. He told, "I can not really say anything other than that we are in active negotiations with the Chinese government."

Chinese officials, while speaking to media yesterday, denied any negotiations with the company. Miao Wei, a Vice-minister at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology categorically declined any talks or request for negotiations by the company at this point of time.

Miao Wei told that any internet company operating in the Chinese territory needs to file a report on filtration of search results and the internet giant failed to do so.

It should be recalled that Google had threatened to close its China operations if the disputes over censorship and hacking were not solved.
