Lebanese PM for strengthening ties with QatarQatar, obliquely indicating the ongoing dispute between Iran and Western World and UAE over its nuclear program, said that any action against the country should be taken after due diligence and much deliberation.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, who is on his official visit to Qatar, held a joint press conference with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani and told, "Qatar's stance is clear. It is to keep things calm and resolve the various conflicts in the region through peaceful and diplomatic means."

Both leaders also discussed various issues of mutual interest during the meeting and pledged to strengthen their diplomatic and business ties on the strong foundation of mutual trust and co-operation. Further programs for enhancing mutual co-operation would be taken up at the Qatari-Lebanese Joint Committee which would meet in Lebanon in late April or early May this year.

Meanwhile, the visiting Lebanese Prime Minister expressed his gratitude toward Qatar for supporting Lebanon. He also hailed the strategy adopted by Qatar in the Doha agreement.
