Abu Dhabi leaves behind the past, scaling new heights of growth

Abu-Dhabi-EconomyOnce a sandy desert and a house of Bedouin tribes, Abu Dhabi has been scaling new heights of growth given to its oil reservoirs and World class infrastructure. The region started its growth stories during the regime of Abu Dhabi's ruler Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and then his son, Sheikh Khalifa.

The royal family put its due contribution using its extraordinary wealth for promoting advanced culture and business environment. What's more, the city-state now houses campuses of prestigious institutes including York University and Paris Sorbonne University.

The region has left behind those days when camel was one and only transport choice and now there is no dearth of ultimate conveyance. Young Emiratis own Mercedes, Ferraris, Maseratis and Hummers and the country is gearing up for banning cars older than 10 years.

Abu Dhabi also held prestigious formula one grand prix last year. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the other landmark which is covered with gold domes and white marble to welcome people of all faiths. The city's visit is not deemed concluded without enjoying luxurious stay at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
