The Nestlé Group, one of the leading sweets and confectionery maker in the World, is set to make its new facility in Dubai's TechnoPark operational for producing chocolates and wafers.
Yves, the regional CEO of the Jafza-based firm informed that the facility is capable to produce 100,000 tonnes of sweets per year. Currently, the company is producing powdered milk and repacking of Mackintosh's Quality Street chocolates at the plant. It would start producing chocolates by the end of 2010.
Manghardt added, "The Middle East is part of the Nestlé Group's Asia, Oceania and Africa Zone, and is considered as a region having tremendous growth potential."
Nestle sees a huge potential for growth in the Middle East region which is being covered under Group's Asia, Oceania and Africa Zone. The company also intends to expand its operations for meeting growing demands of its products in the World.
