Abu Dhabi Indian School to Start New Shift

Abu-Dhabi-SchoolsFollowing substantial rise in number of applicants seeking admissions in Kindergarten and Class I, the Abu Dhabi Indian School has decided to roll out second shift from April this year. The school got 2000 applications for admissions in kindergarten and class 1, making the school to draw lots for making final admissions in the presence of a large gathering of parents.

The Abu Dhabi Indian School, currently having strength of 5,500 students, has just 30 vacant seats out of 140 seats available for KG. Dr B R Shetty, the Chairman of the school said, "There are no details on the second shift as yet, as we have to make arrangements, seek necessary permissions, and hire additional staff."

Apprising media persons about the expansion plans, Shetty added that about 200-300 more seats would be created for the Kindergarten in the second shift to meet the overwhelming demand. He clarified that second shift would be started for KG to 6th grade under the regulation set by the government. There is no plan to roll out second shift for higher classes, Shetty clarified.
