It has appeared that 45 tonnes of relief items has been distributed among the Haiti quake victims by the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of its humanitarian aid assistance.
The victims in the Croix des Bouquets area, three kilometers from Port au Prince, Haiti's capital, got the materials, including tents, blankets and food. The aid was received by nearly 1,500 families.
Friday, Humaid Al-Shamsi, head of the RCA delegation in Haiti forwarded the plans of its organization to increase its humanitarian supplies to the country in the coming days.
He claimed that the focus of RCS in the early days of the disaster relief work in Haiti was on helping the injured victims and enhancing the capacities of the hospitals and health centers
Notable 145 tonnes of relief materials was earlier provided by RCA to Caribbean nation.
