The magnificent Meydan Racecourse is fully prepared to host racing activities at the 2010 Dubai Racing Carnival set to start from 28 January. A large number of spectators and racing fans are expected to turn up at the event that will last up to March 5.
The key attraction of the event would be the $10m Dubai World Cup on 27th March which is claimed to be the richest horse race of the world.
The new race course, comprising 750m All Weather (Tapeta) and a 2400m turf course at the center, is equipped with all facility for the successful running of the events. The spectator area is capable to handle a large gathering of 60,000 and a five start hotel is also ready to welcome the spectators, administrators and sportspersons. Besides, luxurious suites and restaurants, marina are also there for race lovers.
Meanwhile, trails at the event have been successfully completed as Johnny Murtagh, Kieran Fallon and Frankie Dettori observed the entire site and track moving around the courses on horses.
