Construction activities on rise in Abu DhabiAbu Dhabi, the country witnessing large scale construction and other development activities, has been slowly moving to attain its past growth stories. Though, global financial crisis derailed its economy in 2008 but things are rapidly turning for making recession a thing of the past for Abu Dhabi.

Work at the shiny new building Capitol Tower has been going on at fast pace for housing hotels, convention centers and malls. As one passes with streets, large scale development activities can easily be observed with the high pitched whirr of power tools are common to hear by late evening.

The laboratories and residential towers of the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology are expected to be completed by the end of the year. Under-construction activities are very common and labourers can be seen working on the Guggenheim and Louvre museums, a Warner Brothers theme park, Ferrari World, marinas and golf courses by late night.

Emirate, with flood of money from oil export, is expediting its efforts for becoming technical and financial hub like Singapore. But Abu Dhabi's plans are different from crisis ridden Dubai which is mostly concentrated on real estate and tourism segment.
