UAE asks for simplified funding procedures for implementing Copenhagen accord

World-Future-Energy-SummitUAE Minister of Environment and Water, speaking at the second day of the World Future Energy Summit, has asked for the need to simplify the procedures for financing funds for true implementation of Copenhagen Agreement, aimed to cut carbon emission for saving environment.

The World Future Energy Summit, hosted by MASDAR, is currently undergoing at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 18-21 January 2010 in the presence of leaders from across the World, policy makers, think tanks and investors.

HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is the patron of the event in Abu Dhabi aimed to discuss threats of climate change and energy challenges.

Other sponsors include Deutsche Bank Climate Change Advisors, Emirates Aluminium, BP Alternative Energy, Standard Chartered, Oxy, the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipality Affairs and Terna.

Around 20,000 attendees are expected to enjoy 600 exhibitors from 50 countries on a total space of 40,000sqm, giving them an exposure to huge business and networking opportunities.
