A segment of award ceremony organized by Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award to honor the winners in several categories was today attended by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Honorary President of the Football Federation and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Foundation, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Creative Sports, other Sheikhs, a number of senior officials, youth and sports leaders were the other honored guests, who attended the ceremony held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai.

The audience was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum at the event a few minutes before the closing of the ceremony. He was also gracious enough to step into the platform and get the pictures clicked with the winners of the awards and the officials.

Sheikh Mohammed gave his heartiest wishes to the winners among whom were HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who won the Local Sports Personality award in recognition of his support to the sports movement in the UAE, and Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahd Al Sabah, Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee and President of the Olympic Council of Asia who won the Arab Sports Personality award.

Apart from this, awards were also won by nineteen other sporting personalities in various categories.
