Economy Minister H. E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri remembered the services of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, terming him a visionary and very dedicated personality.

In a press release, on the eve of Rashid's accession as Ruler of Dubai, the Economy minister credited him for ushering UAE in the new era of growth, making the country one of the leading business destination of the world and rolling out prestigious projects such as Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world.

Al Mansouri added, "Thanks to the wise policies of the country's leadership, Gross Domestic Product of the UAE surged from AED 6.5 billion in 1971 to AED 929.4 billion in 2008, nearly a 114 fold increase."

H. E. Dr Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment '&' Water too hailed him for introducing capacity building steps and thus pushing the growth of the country by restructuring federal entities as per global standards.

Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads '&' Transport Authority expressed, "His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has taught us that ambition has no limits and that the word 'impossible' is not in our dictionary."
