UAE's NPCC gets $162 million contract from ONGC

UAE based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) has bagged a major engineering, procurement and construction contract from public sector firm Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

The engineering and construction company NPCC would develop an offshore oil platform project in Mumbai under the deal worth 162 million dollars.

Media reports stated that the project, which is scheduled to be completed by April 2011, involves survey, design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning besides carrying out work on subsea pipelines and Composite Subsea Cable.

NPCC Chief Executive Officer Aqeel Madhi informed that the firm, owned by the General Holding Corporation of Dubai government, has already bagged contract worth one billion Dinars from ONGC in October, for constructing three Wellhead Platforms.

Divulging the expansion plans of the company, Madhi said that the firm has been working on a fully-fledged fabrication yard facility to be set up in India besides supporting new EPC projects in different parts of the world.

NPCC has already completed several mega EPC projects for ONGC, which includes recently commissioned the 4 Wellhead Platforms Project -2 and C-Series Wellhead Platforms Project.
