15-Year- Old Dies of Cardiac Arrest

CardiacIt has been recently revealed in a startling incident that a 15–year-old boy, who was also a hockey player, died of a cardiac arrest. He was from West Ottawa, and he collapsed while on the bench. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later succumbed to death. The name of the boy was Tyler Kerr, and he belonged to Richmond. It was in his midget B game, that he collapsed, and was taken to the hospital, following a cardiac arrest.

"I don't think it came to any of our minds that it might be one of the players. Young, strong healthy 15-year-olds generally don't go down in cardiac arrest," "They stopped the game immediately because they clearly could sense that there was something very wrong”, said Dean Brown, the TV presenter and commentator for the game with the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators

The name of the boy hasn’t been revealed officially, though Kerr, is the name that supposedly was seen on social media sites lately. Many players besides him also didn’t realize he was unwell, and was having a cardiac arrest.

This is one of the many cases which indicate the alarming rise in the number of young children suffering from heart dysfunctions. There is need for parents to keep a very close check on the health of their children. The world and the health statistics have changed in such a way, that there is no such thing as ‘age related health problems’.

Any disease can seem to affect any one at any point in their lives. This makes it all the more important for a close monitoring check to be kept on the health needs of children as well as youngsters, and not just the ageing people.
