It has been revealed in yet another study that walking in high heels might tend to ruin one's walking posture. It has been revealed according to a new research done by a team in Australia, and it was found that high heels tend to shorten the calf muscles of women.
This might eventually tend to tax their feet a lot, and result in changing the position of the muscles and joints of the legs and feet, and this would tend to give rise to problems like aching feet, aching backs as well as a life-long changed walking posture.
It has been previously said as well that high heels might tend to give many problems to women, though this research has pronounced the ill effects of the same. This is for the first time there has been such a detailed analysis done on the effect heels tend to have on walking of women. It is essential that women stop torturing their bodies by stuttering in sky high heels all the time. It is making them weak and tired, and giving them backaches.
The study has been published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, and it was revealed that the toes tend to become pointed and the feet tend to remain in the flexed position as well, when the heels are remove from the feet after a long time.
Optimal muscle-tendon efficiency while walking occurs when the muscle stays approximately the same length while the tendon lengthens. "When the tendon lengthens, it stores elastic energy and later returns it when the foot pushes off the ground", said Dr. Neil J Cronin.
