Amidst Election, Politicians Playing Dirty Game Politics

New-ZealandIt has been informed by the Shadow Treasurer Tim Nicholls that the Liberal National Party would be calling for police checks over the future public servants if the Liberal National Party wins election in the March. The inspection thus called would be mandatory.

As the elections are drawing near, the political parties are leaving no stone unturned. For the same purpose, Mr. Nicholls called the decision of Premier Anna Bligh of accessing the New Zealand’s criminal database for a period of six months as a sham.

He said that the political parties have made the last move to gain the attention of the voters. Mr. Nicholls also criticized the government for failing to take adequate steps to prevent fraudulent financial activities of the health executives.

Mr. Joel Barlow is one of those people who have criminal records and has also been found guilty of causing harm to the health department through fraudulent activities. He was arrested in 2011. It has been informed that the fraudulent activities of Mr. Barlow allowed him to live a millionaire’s life.

Doubts over him were raised in 2010. In 2010 only the police and the investigating authorities got alert and they begin to conduct a number of investigations over him. Mr. Nicholls “The issue for Queenslanders… and how $16 million
(allegedly) walked out the door from someone who had a record in new Zealand and a record that had been bought to the attention of the Crime and Misconduct Commission and the Health Department”.

While keeping in mind the gravity of the issue, Mr. Nicholls said that the mandatory police checks over the coming or to be public servants would ensure that such type of fraudulent activities doesn’t take place in the country or in the region.
