It has been recently revealed that a new study has been conducted to find out the effect of tear drops, in helping to fight against bacteria. It has been revealed according to a research team from the UCI that this could mean the aid for determining bacteria at the very early stages, and might help in treating many diseases while they have just started forming, thus bringing respite to the sufferers.
It was first discovered by Alexander Fleming, the Noble Laureate that the human tears tend to have antibacterial properties in them, and this tends to make them effective in some or the other way.
It has now been found, after a century almost, that these tears might be useful in killing bacteria. In simpler terms, the lyzomes have the tendency of chomping off and destroying the bacteria like they are hungry monsters.
This means that the tears tend to literally wash our eyes clean, and chew off the bacteria that are trying to malign and infect our eyes.
“Those jaws chew apart the walls of the bacteria that are trying to get into your eyes and infect them,” “It’s just like a stethoscope listening to your heart, except we’re listening to a single molecule of protein”, said Gregory Weiss, the co-author of the study, together with the other, Mr. Philip Collins.
Years of research has gone down in trying to assemble single molecule tear drop protein. The researchers are of the view that this might give rise to a new technology which might be helpful in detecting cancers in the time to come.
It’s a matter of time to see what sort of effect these tend to have, and whether there can be a good way of preventing diseases found in the future.
