It has been recently revealed that Bajaj Auto has unveiled an extremely low-cost car. This is the first car, the 2-wheeler firm has made. It was a much awaited vehicle, as it is thought to be a tough competition to the Tata Nano.

The firm is of the view that this new sleek and cost effective vehicle will be able to help people, when there is so much congestion and pollution. The name of the vehicle is the compact RE60 and it has been recently unveiled in New Delhi. They also revealed that their car, besides being extremely cost effective, shall give high fuel efficiency, and shall also be low on the carbon dioxide emissions.

The car has the effective fuel consumption of 35 km per litre. Besides this, it is going to emit merely 60 Gms of carbon dioxide for every kilometer.

"At Bajaj Auto, we believe the people of the planet deserve much better, much faster, the vehicle's emissions were typically half of what the small cars currently emit in our market", said Rajiv Bajaj, the MD for the group.

It shall be a matter of time to wait and watch the interesting locked horns fight between the two cheapest cars in the country. Where NANO has been around for the while and the people have developed a love hate relationship with it, the new car, has yet to prove its potential.

The car shall be available for bookings soon, and it is expected that a lot of people would be interested in looking at this low cost car and see if the features really benefit them above the rest.

Hopefully, there will be more such cost effective cars launched in the time to come.
