It has been recently revealed that a Brtish Soldier has not only shown courage and fervor on the battlefield, but has also been able to show off a very distinct spirit of the season, with donating his kidney to his sister, while home for the festive break. His name is Jamie Partington and he is 31 years old. He was home for his Christmas break from Afghanistan, where he has been posted.

He donated his kidney to his sister 29 years old Kylie, who had already had a transplant, when her father had donated the organ to her, but it had seemed to mismatch with her body, ad she was suffering complications already.

The man is currently recovering from the operation ad hopes that by the end of two months, he will be able to join his forces, and serve the nation again. This is one of the extraordinary stories of people who are truly blessed with a heart of gold. He has not only been doing good to his country, but was ready to sacrifice such a vital organ from his own body and put his health in jeopardy, when it came to his sister’s health.

He revealed that though people would say he has been really brave making this selfless donation for his sister, he only believes that he has cleared all tests and is glad that he is healthy while having donated something extremely important to save his sister’s life.

He further revealed that he feels his sister has been brave, because she was told at age ten that her kidneys are failing and that there isn’t a cure for the same.

“This illness combined with all the anti-rejection drugs she has had to take has made her very ill over the years, but she has never let it get her down”, he revealed about his sister.
