WAGGA to Have New Medical Interns

WAGGA-Medical-InternsIt has been recently revealed by a medical team that there are going to be 16 new intern doctors sent to WAGGA. This shall be their internship base before they can be qualified as registered medical officers. The training shall be underway for two years.

This is a good opportunity for the people of WAGGA to welcome these new young doctors, to their community and reap medical benefits from the, while showing them that the community deserves better healthcare attention. They need to be warm and welcoming to the doctors, in order to make this 2 year internship a successful venture.

On the other hand, it’s a great opportunity for the doctors, to be a part of a medical experimental internship, which will help them diversify their skills, and understand the need for medical development in the rural areas. This shall help them become experts in their own areas, and turn out to be successful doctors by the end of the two years.

The NSW Health Minister Ms. Jillian Skinner was of the view that the people of the community need to be helpful to these interns, if they want them to return to their community, after they have become complete professional specialists.

These interns shall also work at the St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, to gain a complete expertise of their work, and become certified doctors.

Professor Graeme Richardson from the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, and also the executive medical director for the WAGGA base hospital is of the view that young people coming to work here means there is further scope of medical development in rural areas, in the time to come, which is a good sign of growth.
