Eat-LessIt has been recently revealed in a report that dieting is good for one’s brain. This was revealed according to a new research which is of the view that when a person eats less, the brain can function better.

The research has so far been conducted on mice and it was found that when the number of calories is restricted, there is an activation of the longevity genes of the brain and this helps it to function better and for a longer time, at least in mice.

It has previously been revealed that a lower intake of calories was linked to boosting the memory of a person and decreasing the risk of diseases like dementia. It was revealed by a team from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome that eating lesser calories tends to trigger the protein called CREB1. This turns on the genes that make for a healthier and longer life.

The researchers are of the view that this new discovery can lead to the formation of new drugs, for keeping the mind and body healthy and fit.

It is also obvious that people, who eat less, will have lesser risk of obesity due to eating less. They also showed lesser aggression due to the same. This means that eating in the right amount is not just good for the body, but also for the mind. It is essential for a person to take the required intake of calories according to the BM of his/ her body. Anything eaten beyond that level is actually buying you a ticket to a fatter place.
