Connecticut has been ranked as the third-most healthy state of the US. Vermont and New Hampshire have been ranked as first and second, respectively, on the list of United Health Foundation. It is for the third time when Vermont has been ranked at the first place.

While acknowledging the findings of the survey, Dr. Harry Chen, Vermont’s health commissioner said, “I would say that this report, while reassuring and satisfying, I take as a call to action to combat issues like binge drinking, moderate immunization rates and obesity rates that are climbing despite what we are all doing”.

It has been informed that in 1990, Vermont was ranked at 20th in health report. In 2009, it clambered the ladder to reach the first spot and since then, it is enjoying the post. It has been informed that 23.9% of the population of Vermont is obese. There isn’t any state which has such a low rate of obesity. There are about 76,000 people who smoke in the region. And now, the authorities concerned have geared up free the state from the grips of smoke.

During the survey, it was found that Tennessee, which had poor health records, gained attention as its health record has been improving. This year, the state has been ranked 39.

However, last year, Tennessee was ranked 42.
