On Wednesday the bus fare hike was put into practice. The bus fare will increase from Dh5 to Dh7.
Seventeen face death sentence in UAE

On Sunday, a shariah court in Sharjah, UAE, passed death sentence to Kuldeep Singh, 24, of Khukhrana village, 24 km west of Moga for killing a Pakistani previous year. Singh becomes one of the 17 Indians sentenced to death.
Thousands lured by Sharjah heritage show

The International Tourism Bourse (ITB) has been luring thousands of visitors, officials and German media representatives to the Sharjah suite, which inaugurated in Berlin, Germany, on 10 March 2010, aimed at observing various activities reflecting the heritage and history of Sharjah, which is taking part in the event for the 13th time. The event will run until 14 March.
Sharjah Economic Development inks deal with Haifa Industrial
Submitted by Akilah Amiri on Sat, 08/22/2009 - 19:58The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has signed a deal with an industrial services company for large supply of liquid gas cylinders that comply with SEDD standards in order to meet market demand.
Under the arrangement, Haifa Industrial will provide SEDD with 7,086 48-litre liquid gas cylinders with an overall value of AED 900,000.
All gas cylinders are scheduled to be delivered before the end of 2009.
Air Arabia's airport hotel on schedule

The sources close to Air Arabia informed that concrete structure for all four floors of the hotel has already been completed and the hotel is poised to reach completion, beating the development's budget.
The hotel entails standard rooms and suites and will target both business travellers and individual guests.
Jet Airways Set to Launch Sharjah-Kochi Service

The sources said that the airline will introduce services from Sharjah aboard a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The sources further added this will be Jet Airways' fourth daily service to the Gulf from Kochi, complementing the airline's existing daily services from Kochi to Doha, Kuwait and Muscat sectors.
