PM Joins in with Buddhists Devotees to Celebrate Vesak Day

On Friday, Buddhist followers in Malaysia, from all spheres of life, commemorated Vesak Day in the spirit of 1Malaysia, offering prayers and alms.
Vesak Day is said to be the most significant and holy day for Buddhists across the globe who celebrate the day of the birth, enlightenment and the passing of Gautama Buddha.

Malaysia hopes that the proposed visit by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to United Arab Emirates (UAE) would help to strengthen trade and diplomatic ties between two nations. The country has been looking for investment and trade opportunities in the Gulf nation by building better political understanding with its government.
