Bligh Govt. Proposes Revival of Queensland Health

It has been reported that the plan of Premier Anna Bligh to refurbish the Queensland Health to make a new centre for the health services has been rejected by the State Opposition. They have claimed it to be a mindless move as there is no benefit to split two dysfunctional departments.
Bligh and Union Comments Differently On Ambulance Queues

It seems like debate is on between the ambulance union and Premiere Anna Bligh. We are talking about the practice of ramping ambulances with patients aboard, which according to Ms. Bligh is a simple fact of life but the union does not agree with Ms. Bligh.
By the term ramping, we mean the practice under which ambulances carrying patients are made to wait outside the hospitals until the patient is admitted.
Nurse’s Payroll Saga Continues

Queensland’s new payroll system controversy still continues as the nurses’ union reported that each fortnight, thousands of nurses were still being underpaid or overpaid or not paid at all.
After feeling the hype of the controversy, Premier Anna Bligh ordered a pause on regaining the overpayments, while the unpaid salaries problems were sorted out.
Queensland Fights against Tobacco

In a new step taken in the fight against cancer, it has been revealed that the retailers in Queensland would no longer be allowed to display tobacco products openly.
The new laws would go in effect from today and this shall mark the beginning of the ban of any sort of advertisement for smoking related products.
Bligh, Lucas to work in hospital

High heels will be ditched by Queensland Premier Anna Bligh as a night will be spent by her working as an orderly in a Brisbane hospital.
Bligh said this while stating that this attempt of hers will be a part of the State Government's Walk A Day In My Shoes campaign. Her aim is to get MPs have a feeling of the general community.
Bligh expressed keenness to help out in the hospital wards.
Bligh hopes Palm Island death case to get resolved soon

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has hopes regarding the Palm Island death in custody investigation that it would get resolved soon.
It was ruled on Thursday by the Supreme Court Justice Peter Lyons that the responsibility of deciding what disciplinary action must be taken against the officers should be given to someone other than Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson.
