The education policy, it is recalled, was approved during recently held meeting of the cabinet.

276 new teachers to join schools in Abu Dhabi

Faculty shortage in Abu Dhabi’s schools would be a thing of past from this session. Abu Dhabi Education Council [ADEC] recruited as many as 276 new teachers for the subjects of information technology, physical education, arts and music.

Shortage of teachers for nursery classes has also been addressed by the authorities from this academic session by recruiting new faculty members, more from Emirates in line with government’s Emiratisation plan announced in June.

New system for schools to solve technical breakdowns

ADECSometimes there are technical crashes at public schools’ information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure. Now these problems can be restored somewhat within minutes with new central monitoring system of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).

This is the latest system which is an integrated with IT management solution and it has been designed to examine and handle public schools’ IT infrastructure.

ADEC starts drive to improve private education

ADECA comprehensive strategy has been started by Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and the main idea behind it is to improve student achievements. It would also mean that private education in Abu Dhabi will be made world class and the onus of the same is now on the government.

New School model scrutinized

ADECAs soon as the last days of the new school model come to an end, there will be a thorough study of the performance of it so that the problems can be pinpointed and resolved.

Data has shown that every year some 10,000 pupils leave state schools still looking for remedial English classes. They are in need for such help even before they can join university degree courses.
