Siemens pockets order worth Rs 608 crore

Siemens Ltd, a subsidiary of Siemens AG Germany has pocketed an order worth Rs 608 crore from Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Doha.

The scope of work involves complete supply, design, erection, testing and commissioning o f 132kV & 66kV high voltage cables. The contract is scheduled to be completed over a period of two years.

The stock of the company today closed at Rs 529 on BSE. The counter has made 52-week-high of Rs 605 and Rs 186 respectively.

Dubai to witness expansion of power supply network by Siemens

Recently, an order worth approximately €90m was won by Siemens Energy from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), a step which is being seen as a part of further expansion of Dubai's power supply network.

The order from the United Arab Emirates, which includes gas-insulated switchgear technology with a total of 14 switchgear bays for 400kV and 30 bays for 132kV, also covers the supply of a turnkey substation for the 400kV/132kV voltage levels.
