Qatar Airways to hire more staff

Qatar Airways, having around 19000 employees already working with it, has said that it will recruit more staff members in the next three years given to rising workload along with geographical expansion of the airline.
The carrier would need an additional 3,500 staff annually according to the preliminary estimates by the airline. Staff strength would increase by more than 50 per cent by the end of 2014.
Qatar Airways to expand Singapore service

Enthused over significant rise in number of customers, the Qatar Airways is mulling to increase services on its popular Singapore route. The move is aimed to offer uninterrupted and hassle free services to the travelers across both destinations. The airline, currently offering daily flights from Doha to Singapore using its flagship Boeing 777 aircraft, will add non-stop services between Doha and Singapore from May 1, 2011.

Qatar Airways expands fleet size; doubles it in 5 years

Qatar Airways, currently operating 80 aircraft, has doubled its fleet size in a period of past five years. It has been still trying to expand its fleet size and will soon get delivery of its 15th Boeing 777 ER aircrafts for adding more destinations in its chart on different routes.
South East Asia sees expansion of Qatar ways

Qatar Airways is expanding its operations in a big way in South East Asia which shall include upgrading of its aircraft equipments and increasing the frequencies.
Earlier Qatar Airways had announced adding of five new routes during the first half of 2010.
Deal signed by Fossil with Qatar Airways

A deal was signed last week between Fossil watches and Qatar Airways, under which, the former will partner the latter.
An agreement was recently forwarded by Fossil with Qatar Airways, under which, it will have to carry one of the group's watches onboard from the latest issue of Qatar Airways' Shopping Extravaganza catalogue.
Qatar Airways signs contract for 24 Airbus A320 Family aircraft

The sources said that the pact entails the firming up of a contract for four A321 aircraft.
At present, Qatar Airways operates 19 A320 Family aircraft, the Middle East's largest fleet. The new aircraft configured with a two-class cabin will be deployed to increase and expand services on regional, Eastern European and south west Asia services.
