Piramal Healthcare dwindled by 3.36% at Rs. 498.05 at 10:07 IST on BSE, following the company's panel projected a buyback of 20% of its remaining shares at Rs. 600 all as a gauge of recompensing shareholders.

The Ajay Piramal-promoted Piramal Healthcare has announced a exchange of up to 20 per cent of the outstanding share capital of the company at Rs 600 per share. The total spending implicated will be over Rs 2,510 crore. He sold off its main formulation business to Abbott for over Rs 17,000 crore.

Abbott Laboratories has settled to purchase the domestic healthcare production of India's Piramal Healthcare Ltd., which is a leading generics corporation, for $3.72 billion, the companies stated on Friday.
The contract reflects the mounting international significance of generics as well as the increase of India's customer market for drugs.
