EgyptAir inks pact with US-based Rockwell Collins

EgyptAir, the flag carrier airline of the Arab Republic of Egypt, has signed an agreement with US-based Rockwell Collins to install an advanced detection system in five A330 aircraft with an option for three additional aircraft.
The agreement includes Rockwell Collins' Multiscan Hazard Detection System, which analyzes and determines actual weather hazards, TTR-2100 Traffic Collision Avoidance System, as well as a full communications, navigation and surveillance suite including the GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver.
EgyptAir signs OnAir deal

EgyptAir has announced that the company has inked an agreement with OnAir.
The company has signed the arrangement to install full Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir inflight passenger communications services on its fleet of twin-aisle Airbus 330-300 aircraft.
The sources said that through theses services, EgyptAir passengers will be able to use their phones to make and receive calls, send and receive text messages and emails, and access the internet.
