Carillion looking for more opportunities in Middle East

The company performed well in Abu Dhabi and Oman and that would offset the losses it has met in the crisis hit Dubai.
The firm reported a significant growth rate from its operations in the UK, the Middle East and Canada that helped to strengthen its balance sheet despite many challenges in the way in the wake of global financial crisis and economic uncertainties.
First Qatar job planned by Carillion for 2010

The company’s half year’s turnover from the Middle East operation was up 78 per cent to £321.6 million, when it shifted from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.
The company also preparing itself for more orders from Qatar next year.

Turnover for Carillion jumps by 13% in 2009 H1

Pre-tax profit grew 92% from £27m to £52m; and the company scrapped its debt from £264m to £146m.
