(AI Express), Air India Express which is designed as the low-cost auxiliary of flag transporter Air India (AI) that take wing first and foremost to West and South East Asia, is on a employment extravaganza.

AI asked not to take off by UAE officials

The Parliament was informed that Air India was threatened by the UAE traffic control that they will not be allowed to take off. This happened at the Dubai airport and the reason for the same was said to be that AI had not updated the navigation database system as per requirement.

The Maharaja to break-even by 2014

In a news that would have brought smiles on the faces of those who are closely associated with the Maharaja; Air India has said that it is going to break-even by 2014-15.
This is going to happen since the airline is going to follow an ambitious turnaround program which is going to help it in wiping out Rs14,000 crore of accumulated losses and Rs18,000 crore of debt that is present on its balance sheet.
Notable 19.5% rise recorded by Air India in sales revenue from Gulf

On Tuesday, a senior official of the Indian national carrier told that in the past three months, Air India (AI) has recorded 19.5% increase in sales revenue in the Gulf-India route.
Air India regional manager in the Gulf, Middle East and Africa Abhay Pathak told media people that Gulf which remained the biggest market for Air India, and Dubai and Sharjah are emerging as important hubs.
Bahrain-New Delhi service resumed by Air India

As per the latest reports, flights to New Delhi through Doha and Mumbai would be brought back by Air India from 1st February.
It was due to operational pressure, because of which the airline had stopped the service to the Indian capital city from January 7.
But now, all those issues have been solved, so the normal flight schedule can follow.
