ABB signs $21 million order deal with CPECC

ABB, a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation, has signed a $21million order with EPC contractor, China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) to design and supply a state-of-the-art integrated electrical system for Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) project.

Under the deal, ABB will provide a range of electrical equipment, including 33kV gas-insulated switchgear, capacitor banks, ring main units, and resistors.

Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), a Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation headquartered in Zürich, Switzerland, has won an order worth $60m from Saudi Electricity Company, Saudi Arabia's national power transmission and distribution utility to boost the power factor of 28 distribution sub-stations.

Under the deal, ABB will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the projects, which are expected to be completed by 2010.

Saudi Electricity Company, Saudi Arabia's national power transmission and distribution utility has given an order worth $60 million (Dh220 million) to ABB, a leading power and automation technology group.

The order has been placed with the aim to improve the power efficiency of 28 distribution substations.

According to sources, ABB will take responsibility of design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the projects, which are expected to be finalized by fiscal 2010.
