Siemens pockets order worth Rs 608 crore

Siemens Ltd, a subsidiary of Siemens AG Germany has pocketed an order worth Rs 608 crore from Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Doha.

The scope of work involves complete supply, design, erection, testing and commissioning o f 132kV & 66kV high voltage cables. The contract is scheduled to be completed over a period of two years.

The stock of the company today closed at Rs 529 on BSE. The counter has made 52-week-high of Rs 605 and Rs 186 respectively.

UK-based Mott MacDonald bags three-year contract from Occidental of Oman

Occidental of Oman Inc (OXY) has informed that the company has awarded a three-year contract to UK-based Mott MacDonald for general engineering services in Occidental's concessions regions in the Sultanate.

Under the agreement, Mott MacDonald will provide multi-disciplinary engineering design and technical support services for the oil and gas surface facilities expansion and operational activities at OXY's concessions regions presently in Blocks 9 and 27 of Safah, Wadi Latham and Khamila.

Abu Dhabi contracts won by WorleyParsons

As per the media reports, six contracts has been awarded to Engineering group WorleyParsons with expected total revenue of more than $US150 million ($A187.8 million) for a gas project in Abu Dhabi.

It was specified by Worley that it had been appointed by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd, Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company and Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Ltd with the aim to manage six engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for the Integrated Gas Development project.
